In anticipation of their centenary year, St Joan of Arc, Islington commissioned this special window. At over 4m by 2.5m this window makes a wonderful impact with its warm and vibrant colours, and strong imagery. Not wanting an overly militaristic representation of St Joan, her sword is pointing down rather than raised in battle, and forms a cruciform structure upon which her lilies grow.
